Cooper's Hawk III

This one reminds me of a gangster movie with that subtle display of the the raised claw and direct look.  "You want part of this?"  For a juvie that didn't seem to have its act together yet, it sure had some tough looking poses in its repertoire.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm, hand held, f/8, 1/500, iso 800 aperture priority, pattern metering, -1/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to 14.1 MP before resizing.  Taken at 4:04 PM on August 7th.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Excellent image - love the streaking rain.  I just wish there was a touch more room beneath the entire perch

For me this comes in as a close second to the first post of the Ccoper's Hawk looking into the stump.  All are technically perfect and I'd love to have any one them in my portfolio.

HI Dennis
It looks like you had a great time with this Hawk.  Nice focus and I love the rain.

I like this a lot Dennis. Your hawk series is impressive. The rain and soft light really made for nice conditions for you. The raised foot adds a lot to the image too. We'll Done!   devil
