Protonotaria citrea

Birding has been super slow around here lately, but I was able to find this Prothonotary Warbler over the weekend. Kind of a strange pose but it does show all of the different colors in the warbler.

Superb detail, Matt, and I like that pose.  The super dark bg really makes the warbler glow, but it also almost looks flashed because of it.  I wonder if you could brighten the bg some to alleviate that impression without losing the glow in the bird?

I think birding is probably slow in a lot of places.  It is here in Olympia.  Not much visiting the feeders and mostly early or late when they do.  Cloudy weather seems to be more favorable than clear.  Very nice light on the Warbler.  The detail is fine and I like the pose and head turn.

Striking image with that dark background Matt. It is a different pose but very pleasing. Detail in the Warbler looks sharp and nice twinkle in the eye. Nice work!  PS: Birding is slow here too.

Great look at this beauty! Always nice to see the feather detail on the back, instead of just the front.
Well done!

Nice contrast in the BG really makes this scream off the screen. Nice work Matt.
