Sky Movement
I used a 10 stop ND filter to blur the clouds at sunset for this long exposure at Folly Beach, SC.

That is really cool, Kate. I really like this effect. What was the final exposure time?

Kate, this is pretty impressive to get all the key elements well placed is the frame. The shutter speed is perfect to get the clouds along with everything else. Excellent work

Thanks so much guys for the comments. It's one of my favorite photos.
The final exposure time was about 90 seconds. It smoothed out the water in the foreground which was a great bonus!

Love the strong sense of flow that your long exposure has created, Kate. While it's most dramatic in the sky, there's also some good flow in the water running from the trees to the setting sun. Your comp. is wonderfully balanced.

Very beautiful, and the angle of the cloud movement really makes it a dynamic shot. Beautiful colors and nice comp.

This is a very nice picture with nice flowing lines and a very pleasant smoothness about it. I like the colors. It's also nice to see that one can get this effect with the clouds naturally and not by using a radial blur in Photoshop.
