I originally took this photo with a bright blue sky and I liked the comp but not the blue sky. I decided to put a texture on it instead and liked it better. Thanks for any comments or critiques.

Update: This photo is currently (3/1/17) included in an art exhibit in Yosemite Valley's gallery through the end of April. If you are in the Valley, take a look at the exhibit and you will see so many creative interpretations of nature there.  Kathy

Good choice of texture.  It doesn't overpower the main subject.  Beautiful scene too.

I like this a lot, Kathy.  The trees and rocks have lots of character and your background catches both the colors and textures very well.  This feels like it could belong to some of the 18th or 19th century landscape painters, particularly the Hudson River school.

This is good because it is a moving composition and the creator carefully maintained a separation of shapes.  Perhaps I'm mad, but I see the main tree making a bold gesture.
