Lake Neuchatel, Switzerland
D810     300mm  f2.8  G ED VR2 + tc 1.4 series 3
f/9.0    ISO 640   1/1600s   EV 1.0  WBA     Hand held
Photoshop CS6   Original take was close to full frame

Adult Mute Swans are very large and very heavy. This one practically filled the frame when it veered left and depth of field presented its own set of problems with the oblique flight path. The original take was less than sharp and has under gone a great deal of PS cobbling. The BG needed much attention too. I aim to accentuate the close proximity and high-speed flight of the bird therefore I decided against adding canvas to the bottom and RHS of the frame.
Thanks for viewing
Your crits. and nits are most welcome

Nice job on the processing and I like your choice of framing, David.

Nicely done David.  A bit more room on the right would be good, but fine as composed.

Nice capture of the swan in flight David. I would also like to see a bit more space to the right in this.

Exceptional flight image David. I like it as posted but wouldn't object to a little more room on the right.
