We're Not Alone

I was going to post this one in the Landscape gallery, but there's a touch of human influence on this subject.  Yes, the track could be that of a wolf, but it is an image of a track left by one of our domesticated "wolves", a Newfoundland dog named Morgan.  I photographed the track at the beach north of the Platte river in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The lens used was an old manual Vivitar 28 mm and it has surprising sharpness and contrast for a cheap 39 year old lens. K5 IIs 28 mm f2.8 (1/200 sec, ISO 250, f16) Levels, Luminosity Masks on shadows, Brightness & Contrast........................................Jim

Great title.  That alien looking at us seems to be contemplating something.  Nice image. Nice find.

I agree - the title is right on. Before reading your description I though it was a fossil imprint of some kind, after reading and looking at the large image I understood. Old lenses rule - I practically don't use autofocus digital lenses any longer, have sold most of them, and have never missed them.
