A few weeks ago I posted a sequence in the Forum section about a distressed juvenile Black Guillemot that was rescued on Labor Day. This is the last shot from that sequence showing the bird rushing ashore to avoid the rising surf surge.

If you're interested in that post please check out the Bird Photography Forum to read the narrative and view the sequence.

Thanks

I'm glad you posted a shot from that sequence in the gallery, Chuck.  I really like the angle and feel of action in this image.  The low angle and crisp focus on the head are excellent.

HI Chuck
You did a great job with the low angle and focus. Nice action and good color control.

Nice capture, Charles. I like the low perspective and the close up view of this little Guilemot. The blurred foot really gives this image a sense of motion.  I hope the rescue attempt is successful.

Like this a lot Chuck. The determined look on the face and action shown by the oof feet running give this a lot of appeal. The tight crop works for this also. Well done!

Super shot Chuck, love the tack sharp focus on the head and the feeling of movement from both feet, great low angle too.  An unusual sighting and encounter and you made the most of it. devil
