Sandy, beautiful display of the Wood Stork's black and white wing feathers and the tension created by his toes grasping for the tree branch. Very nice!

Beautiful timing and a great composition. Sandy. I also like the way this looks with the high key bg. Excellent work.

Excellent timing on this Sandy. Great wing positions and those out reached toes add a lot. The detail in this image is very sharp, with the blacks and whites exposed perfectly.

Sandy your avian images have been outstanding and this is no exception. An unusual subject and pose. Did he break that tiny branch when he landed?

Sandy, I love the semi-awkward, splayed pose here. Nice work with the high key exposure.
Honestly, I'm not sure there's enough directionality or horizontal movement in the subject to warrant all the extra space on the right side. I think the strength lies in the shape of the stork and its gangly appendages, so I'd be just fine with a centered composition that emphasizes that.
