Fall in Tom Miner #1

I've been exploring the Tom Miner basin, a small creek in a big basin that borders Yellowstone to the north and west.  The colors in the willows and aspens are looking great, although they may not be at peak yet.  Here's a late afternoon view showing a bit of Tom Miner creek, the willows and aspens, with the Galletin mtns for a background.  The backlighting really sets the colors glowing.  (5D3, 24-70 f2.8 @ 35mm, f/8, 1/125s, iso 400, tripod and polarizer)

Really nice view of the Basin, Mark.  I understand there's been some grizzlies up there, but mostly too far away.

Nice grand landscape, Mark. I like how you draw us from the creek to the large open field, over the saddle, and to the distant grassy mountains.

Sweet scene in a beautiful location. I would love to be standing right there right now!

Gorgeous, expansive landscape, Mark. The image has a lot of beautiful layers and some great light. I fished Tom Minor years ago so this image evokes some great personal memories. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Mark.  Love the backlit colors and how the eye is drawn perfectly through the image.  Very nice.

Love the back lighting and layering of sky mountains and trees Mark.  The stream is a wonderful lead in.
