Black Pearls

A detail shot taken early in the morning as the sun began to really play on the spider webs.  The structure of the droplets themselves on the many broken and tangled webs I found fascinating, so that the actual the web itself became of secondary importance ...

A larger view can be found HERE.

Sigma SD Quattro, Sigma 180mm Macro, F2.8, ISO 100, 1/2000 sec.

A lovely string of water drops, Mark.  The clarity and placement of the sharp drops is great and the strong sense of depth plus the interesting color in the bokeh from the ooh drops makes for a fine image.

Very cool, Mark.  The black drops are awesome and the way the others go to pink sets them off beautifully.  A very beautiful abstract.

My thoughts exactly. I'll just add that this image is also very artistic. devil

Mark..this is a beautiful image of the darling pearls. I like the fading away dew drops with a different color. Very well composed.

Really interesting shot Mark. The out of focus droplets are just as interesting as the in focus ones, there's a lot to look at in this image. Do you do most of your macro work with the Sigma 180? I've toyed with replacing my 100mm macro with it over the years, but haven't made the leap.
