Mexican Long-tongued Bat

Had some fun down in Southern Arizona photographing bats. The nectar bats are only around for a few weeks and we were very fortunate to time them just right.

These bats fascinate me, and are on my Bucket List.
Excellent catch - great wing position, love the skin detail on the wings,  perfect flower, and the tongue is crowning touch.
Well-done!

Sandy hit the nail right on the head. Nice image. The bat seems to be thinking "Yum, Yum!"

Love the detail on the wing, but the tongue makes this for me. Really nice.

I see you no longer find birds in flight challenging enough. enlightened

Nice one here, Kurt.  I like that we get to see a profile shot, especially with that pose.  The tongue is a fun touch as well.
