For some reason, the lights on the bridge came on unusually late this night so I got (what I thought) was a great picture without any burnout around the lights. I think it looks most ominous in black and white!

Please let me know what you think!

I love the comp and the dramatic sky.  I think black and white was a good choice for this image.  Very nicely done!

Welcome to NPN and the weekly challenge gallery, Kayla.  That is indeed a threatening sky.  Yes, it looks good in b&w.  The focus on the central "pillar" standing tall against the sky works well also.  The base of that central pillar looks to be the brightest part in the image (aside from the lights), which lets it grab a lot of attention.  I think burning it in and doing some dodging on the far pillar would improve the balance of this good looking image.

A really cool looking sky, Kayla, and as an engineer, I like the bridge a lot toosad.  It looks like you're getting quite a bit of distortion from the wide angle along the edges.  You can correct that in software if you want to, though I don't find the effect particularly objectionable.  I think I agree with Mark about burning the near pillar, though I 'm fine with leaving the far one dark as it fits the mood that way.
