Juvenile Goldfinch

One from a nice session with these birds feeding on the Anise Hyssop seeds back in August. They're pretty much gone now, though I did see a couple a day or two ago.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held, f/7.1, 1/640, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Added a bit of canvas on the right and cropped from the left and top to 17.7 MP before resizing. Taken at 10:09 AM under hazy skies on August 17th.

Really nice Dennis, love the background. The detail in the finch is very sharp and it looks like you had nice soft light to work with.

Really great! Beautiful colours, tack-sharp throughout, nice pose.
the black frame detracts a bit, imo. a simple green line around it might work better.
