The Sweetwater Camera Club spent the early night photographing the milky way.  Our friend has a beautiful farm with plenty of big sky.

This is a beautiful image of the stars and the milky way!  I like the windmill in the foreground.  My only suggestion would be to place the windmill a little bit toward the left hand side of the frame instead of close to the center, but it's also a great image as is.

Very cool, Elizabeth. The relatively bright sky (for this kind of shot) adds to the appropriateness of this shot for the theme.

One of these days, I have to try some real night photography.

Really nice, Elizabeth.  I like the perspective given with the trees and windmill in the lower part of the frame. Makes me want to take a try at something like this. Well done!

This makes for a great, side by side comparison with the previous post as to the definition of blue and how tone/saturation effect our emotions.  I fine the lighter blue sky here very inviting with the great star field (including the milky way) adding to that invitation.  The tops of the trees along the bottom and the windmill silhouette make a wonder foil for all of those stars.
