Though the egret is the main subject, I liked this for the scene I found the egret in.

Canon 7d II
Sigma 150-600 at 150 mm
ISO 320
1/1250 at f10

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Nice job with the Egret.  I'm finding these white birds are very difficult to expose properly.

A gorgeous scene, Allen.  It would be lovely without the egret.  On my monitor , it looks like you could raise the brightness on the egret just a tiny bit-it has a slightly gray tinge to my eye, but that's always a tough call with white birds because it's so easy to lose the detail.

I love the scene also, Allen, especially with the overhanging leaves.

Dennis,  Thanks for pointing out the grayness of the egret.  A second pair of eyes never hurts; that's the beauty of NPN.  Here's a re-post a bit brighter.

I do like the brighter version of this image Allen. It is a great overall scene and the one suggestion I have is to place the egret lower in the frame a little and see how you like it. I think it would balance the frame out some and make the composition stronger. More on top, less on the bottom. It's a sweet shot either way.

HI Allen
I think I would have brought down the highlights before adding any brightness or exposure.  This way the whites do not get clipped.  I think the overall photograph is vary nice.
