WC #760 Snap Dragon

The snapdragons are hanging on nicely this fall and survived the first couple of frosts unscathed.  This was actually the second frost as I unfortunately had a commitment the morning of the first one and couldn't get out to photograph it.

5DIII, EF180 f/3.5L, tripod and cable release with live view mode, f/22, 1/4 sec, iso 200, manual exposure.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  13.7 MP at an arbitrary crop ratio before resizing for the web.  Taken at 8:02 AM on October 12th.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Excellent close up of the frosted snap dragon, Dennis. The white frost on the deep pink is a beautiful combination. Nicely composed and taken against the soft gray bg.

Very nicely composed with a terrific background.  The colors are distinct.  The frost really stands out in this image.  We have yet to have a frost where I am.

It's a beauty, Dennis.  The contrast between the warm colors of the flowers and the chill of the frost adds some extra zing.  It looks like quite a bit of frost as some of the crystals on the top look large.

Dennis--No nits here. Square crop is perfect for the scene.  The frost is perfect and you nailed those details in the flowers and frost crystals..........................Jim
