One last image from the Tarn. I hope you are not tired of these yet. As I mentioned in my last post, this is a beautiful location for colorful compositions if the conditions are right.

As always thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment or suggestion.

A fine explosion of color, and you've nicely arranged the bands of color and reeds.

A fine ending to this series, Ed. I like the idea of a strip of water between the reeds. A higher vantage point maybe could have given even more separation. Nice work.

I don't know, Ed. These are all so beautiful. You and your brother could do a whole presentation of just images from here. The foreground water in this particular image has a wonderful painterly look that is really nice, and the grasses provide interesting detail and vertical lines. I like this as composed and presented here, but just the bottom half is a great pano, and the reflection by itself makes a great abstract.

Ed, it has been a joy looking at your images from the Tarn. Reminds me of a Monet painting the way you captured the changing light and how a simple thing of nature can be so beautiful. Each time I look at it I see something different and interesting. I like the seperation in the grasses which opens the space in the water.

Ed, Another excellent image from the Tarn. The light, color and reflections are just fantastic and this is some very cool work you did. I too could see a higher vantage point working but that probably wasn't even possible. Beautifully captured just as it is... and I like it alot! devil

Wonderful colors and textures to my eye, Ed. The slight curve in the bands in the upper part just makes the difference for me.

Another beauty Ed.  My main point of focus is in the FG and immediate grass.  The inclusion of the brighter area of grass at the top seems to interfere with the overall scene in my eyes.  Have you tried cropping the brighter grass at the top of the image to see if that might make a positive difference?

Thanks for your thoughts everyone; always appreciated. Igor: I see what you are saying, unfortunately I was already at the top of the bank. Bill: I think I have a comp with the crop you suggested. I will have to check it out.

Another fine tarn image. Love the deep saturated colors this one has. The large detail version really showcases the Fg water.devil
