Thanks for the ID, Nate!

Canon EOS 7D   S/N: 2671205135 EF400mm f/5.6L USM
1/1000 sec;   f/7.1;   ISO 640
Manual;   Spot metering
LR5, PS6, Topaz DeNoise, Topaz Details, cropped to 46% of original, some cloning at top of background to make it "solid"

All of these colors are there in the original image.  All I did regarding colors/lightness was use the midpoint of Levels to lighten the image a bit.  But I wanted to eliminate breaks in the top of the background, so I filled them in with the same colors via cloning and blurred them a bit.  Do you think this was a good idea, and/or do you think my execution of it was okay?  Would you have a different/better idea?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful, Barbara.  An excellent image of the Phoebe in a great setting.  I assume by breaks in the bg, you mean there were some sky areas showing or something similar at the top.  I think from the results that you made a wise choice and the changes aren't perceptible to my eye.  Well done.

Terrific warm coloration here in this image.  I really like the composition although I might clone away the one piece of grass just in front of the bird.  It's a little bit of an eye magnet.  Otherwise very nicely done with respect to color levels and saturation.

Lovely setting and light Sandy.  I really like the parallel stems and the contrast with the curved section
