Huge Iguana I watched climb this tree in Florida. His tail was so long it was still on the ground while the rest of him was near the top. He waited until the clouds moved so he could bask in the warm sun. Very cool fellow!

Canon sx 30 is, f/5,  iso 80, aperture 4.66,  ss 8.31

Lori, you have good color and details in this image, but to me the tilt of the head and the shadow on it hurts this photos appeal.  I think it would be better if the head was turned more towards the camera.  Thanks for sharing.

Lori. I love the color and the amazing detail in the scaling. Your story gives this good perspective too. It does look like a huge prehistoric creature. Cool shot.

John, I had limited time and the Iguana would not listen to my demands that he turn towards my camera! LOL! You know how it is with these animals...
Ed, I appreciate your kind comments, especially to the backstory. I always wonder if people actually read all of it. Now I know!

Hello Lori, Wow, A Beauty. His colouring is amazing, So amazing i find it difficult to separate him from the competing environment. The very bright cheek could be toned down to give some detail there. A character where I could spend some time just observing!
