Sandy, I like the comp and B&W processing here, and the texture added by the falling snow adds a lot. I would clone out that stick in the lower right, it grabs my eye a bit.

Sandy,
Wow, the thumbnail certainly didn't reveal the capture of the falling snow! This works beautifully as b&w. I really like the arrangement of the trunks. Freezing the falling snow works beautifully as well.
I don't mind the exposed stick at the bottom so much. It breaks up what is otherwise a detail-less foreground.
I like this a lot. I supposed you could experiment with the b&w processing for different effects, but this works as presented.

If you crop off the top to just the edge of the bottom of the sky, creating essentially a square image, you come up with a really nib composition. The bottom stick plays a critical role in the proposed change.
I really like how the snow flakes stand apart from the background, both the trees and the snow itself. That's really cool.

Neat! I love the falling snow and the details in the trees. The little stick is a nice anchor for the lower right quadrant. Works for me.

I like this one a lot Sandy. In my opinion the falling snow really gives this a uniqueness and makes it shine. Great tonal range and a nice rhythm to the composition with the vertical lines.

Nice job on getting the individual snowflakes. That really adds to this image. Good comp, too, and that stick doesn't bother me at all. This image works really well in B&W.
