I think I'll make this the last one for awhile, though I did see a really interesting red shade on one yesterday. I haven't processed those images yet, so if it comes out well, I might change my mind.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 562 mm, Jobu gimbal mounted to blind window, f/8, 1/160, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to an 11.5 MP 4x5 before resizing. Taken December 4th at 10:37 AM.

He is certainly more colorful than the previous two photos you posted of these guys, I wonder if redder color has something to do with its age?

You captured a great pose and perch here. The detail of the bird is magnificent.
It is probably just me, but the background draws my eye a little, but, hey, we take it where it is presented, right. crying

Love that color. The BG does have some bright spots, but they don't bother me. It fits with the sunlight on the wood.

Very nice color and composition on this one Dennis. I like the dappled background. I finally saw my first male and female House Finch at my house this year. On the same day I saw my first Nuthatch of the year. The snow sure brings out the finest in our birds; especially at the feeders.
