In late July we had a whole family of these with recently fledged youngsters frequenting our garden and they all found the ground bath (the drip tray for a large terra cotta pot).  I liked the pose the adult male gave me.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm, hand held, f/7.1, 1/160, iso 800, aperture priority, pattern metering.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped to a 10.2 MP 4x5 before resizing.  Taken at 7:38 PM on July 24th.

Comments and criticisms are welcome.

I have never seen one of these.  I like the colors and the pose.  Would you consider a tighter crop?  Cutting off the reflection and some on the left side, might make it stronger, or not.  Thanks for sharing.
