Hood Ornament

This female Anhinga sunning in the wind reminds me of a hood ornament off an old 'Land Yacht'. An image from last year's Florida Spring Break Tour.
Lighting provided by a nice setting sun, held from boat, 70% of full frame.

Beautiful late evening light, Mike.  I like the pose a lot and the title is very apt.  It would be nice if the bg had been a bit clener, but that's hard to find where these birds hang out.  They seem to like the mid and lower level branches.  The main perch is awesome.

Nice anhinga in a good pose. Very interesting branch and moss.
The busy BG detracts  here, IMO. I'd be tempted to do some major clean-up of the areas surrounding the bird.

A really cool pose.  The light is very nice.  The only thing I could wish for here is a little more detail and light on the rear side of the bird.  It definitely looks better in the larger image.

This shot really shows the kind of habitat they live and are found in. It's a busy bg but I love that moss on the trees. Well done Mike! Great light also!
