A mighty 6 megapixel machine! From the large image it looks slightly chunky. Easily forgiven because this is a really fine intimate Western Winter picture.

At first glance I thought those were just little icicles......but no....those are full size trees!  I had to re-read your post to see, and yup, you said they are 20-30 feet tall.  That really changes the whole feel of this.
So that was a 6 MP camera?  I can see some blocks in the large image, but what a cool image.

Phil - lol! We were so grateful to have cameras then that were 6 MP!
God know where it will go -  will there ever be ENOUGH pixels?  - to me, for bird photography, i want all I can get, for enlargement purposes.
Not so important, I guess, for the landscape guys.

Beautiful image, Sandy.  I wouldn'the have guessed the scale though without your explanation - I would have guessed that the trees in the lower left were 6 ft tall.  Knowing the scale makes this even more impressive.

Hi Sandy,

Nice texture in the snow and those are some monster sized icicles!  Looks pretty good for a 6mp image. ....................Jim

Sandy,

Impressive perspective and scale here.  Without your info (I also had to re-read) there's not determining the size and scale here.  Nicely framed and captured, a great nature story.

Sandy: a beautiful winter scene overall. The icicles are nicely framed above and below by the snow. The greenery and the rocks also provide a lot of detail and information. The techs are spot on. Well seen and well captured. Interestingly, the photo can be appreciated if one thinks the trees are small or very tall as you indicate. Richard
