The Phoenix

The pose of this immature bald eagle reminds me of the mythological Phoenix. I captured this image as he flew down to the ice in an attempt to steal a fish from another eagle.  I liked the feather detail on this guy and all the immature eagles. I noticed high numbers of immature eagles which, I think, is a good sign. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2017) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

I like the pose and head turn.  Unfortunately, there isn't a large version to provide a more detailed view.

Yeah, I screwed up on posting the larger version. Can someone tell me if it's possible to add one now?

A very interesting pose, Jerry.  Nice detail in the plumage and it really shows well here.  You should be able to add a larger version as a comment, Jerry.  I've never been able to make it take the 1 MB/1600 pixel that it claims, but I can get it to take a 500K/1200 pixel image in a comment.  It shows as a 720 pixel image, but when you click on it it will open up to 1200.

Great pose and nice detail. I love rear poses where one can see the feather convergence and fine detail.
Really nice image!

Really nice rear view of this Eagle Jerry. The wing spread is priceless and the cold habitat adds a lot too imo. Nice work!

Looks like a real show-off here.  That's quite a wingspan!  A nice job on the exposure in this shot, especially considering the very bright background.  Too bad you missed the large version.  I would like to see it.
