Female House Finch
by Dennis Plank
A little change-up from the more colorful males, but the ladies are nice as well. I liked the setting for this one.
7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600mm, Jobu gimbal mounted to blind window, f/11, 1/1000, iso 1000, aperture priority, pattern metering, -2/3 EV. We had a sunny, but cold day yesterday, so there was no need of fill flash. Processed in LR5 & CS6. Cropped to 14.7 MP before resizing. Taken at 10:22 AM yesterday.
Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.
Thanks,

7 commentsLovely fir and excellent BG, as well as a tack-sharp bird with fine feather detail.
Any chance for a tighter crop? If possible, cutting out some of the unnecessary left side might be good.
But great as is - Really nice image!
