Cool Autumn Morning

A picture I made while driving the Wisconsin back roads on an early morning in October. We had some frost which is on the grassy area changing the color a little and then just some early morning light that I quite enjoyed. I had a fun time setting up this comp as I was totally enjoying the light and shadows of this autumn scene.
Canon, 24-105L @ 58mm, ISO 400, F/11 and 1/40 sec. tripod

Lovely, gentle sweeps to the composition, Nick, which the high vantage point brings out nicely. I like the play of light and shade and the overall tonality - beautifully processed.

I like the composition, colors and in this image. I might think about cloning out the old piece of machinery near the corn field. It is kind of an eye magnate.

Love that tree!
This ought to be on a calendar as the photo for the month of October....really nice color and comp, with the field and farm equipment in there. Still, I think that tree is just outstanding; it ought to look good with a coat of frost or snow!!!!

Genny, I do like the farm equipment in this picture as well. It just seemed to fit perfectly with this scene for me. I am submitting it for a Wisconsin 2018 calendar. Thanks, Nick
