Frosty Orchard

Came across this frost covered orchard in Santa Clara. It's at a historical site (Jacob Hablin Home) and the main trees have been trimmed (cut down) since. I often see subjects I want to photograph and say I'll come back later, sometimes when I return there not there!

This is a beauty ! Fine detail in the bark and frost.
Less centered would add interest, but not always possible.
The larger image has a bit of noise; another round of noise reduction would be good.
Also, if you'd share your camera settings and lens, we can add other suggestions.

Very nice composition and nice light.  A quiet but lovely scene that would be easy to miss.

I very much like this quiet winter offering, the separation is just right and the soft quiet colours are lovely.  It looks like a very soft hazy sun is out too as I think I can see weak shadows from the orchard trees.

Same as my previous comments. Color/processing much better.  Still need to work on the larger view as the quality of the sky is not there yet.

Would be helpful with more info, processing, etc.  Not sure if you're building up confidence to post, but as mentioned a few times, it's hard to provide more critique and suggestions without knowing where you're at.

I love this one Gerald.  Some of the noise in the sky is acceptable to me as it is sort of stormy, foggy sky.  I have driven by this orchard many times and have never thought of shooting it.  There is a sensor spot just to the right of the center tree 25% down the frame. Nice.

Seriously did you plant that composition and come back to shoot it twenty years later? Nice find!

This is rad.  Love that comp.  Could see a study of this spot under different conditions being great.  BW a strong option here as well.  Nicely seen!

I'm a sucker for deciduous trees in winter and you really captured this nicely.  Soft hues melt into one another in a lovely way.
