Bougainvillea flowers are a symbol of the summer, of the heat; I am already abstinent.

In the greenhouse near home, shot back lit against the sky for the nice transparencies of the bracts.

D800E, Nikkor200mm macro - f/19 and ISO 250 (better view in the larger image).

Gigi: Exceptional detail in the bracts and a crisp clear presentation. I would be tempted to go more high key with the BG. Not sure it would be better but perhaps more impactful. Superb image.>=))>

I have tried the suggestion given by Bill Fach that has proved to be a very good alternative for this photo. Thanks for the help that is for sure one of the best features of NPN community.

Beautiful, Gigi. This would be wonderful with just the bracts, but the flower does add a nice focal point.
