Monarch Butterfly photographed in the Cuyahoga Valley, Ohio
The photographs I have been posting of insects and other macro subjects for those who have been asking about camera settings, most all were shot on slide film and scanned by digiscan. For those who remember Film!

Having done a fair amount of scanning of slides, I'd say that your scan look very good, Gerald.  I also recognize that remembering any of the camera settings beyond the lens and body is unlikely.  In this case, the dew drops on the foxtail are a nice bonus.  The setting and background look great.  A touch more dof to get the entire wing sharp would be nice here.

An important part of NPN is commenting on the posts of others.  That is valuable as a learning tool for both the person showing an image and the person commenting as it helps both members improve their craft.

Gerald...During film days ..I havent done Macro work, but looking at this image, i can understand how challenging it would be to get things right. This is a beautifully exposed frame, and a fine comp.
