Ring-Necked Drake

The Ring-Necks were cooperating at the local lake today. I have never understood the chosen name of this duck. The ring around the neck is very subtle and is hardly ever visible. I think "Ring-Billed" would have been a better name. Processed using Lightroom CC (2015) and Photoshop CC (2017) along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Good angle, good pose, good light. Techs look right. It feels just a hair soft.

Nice one, Jerry.  He looks peeved about something, though I'm sure that's just my human pov.  Nice detail and exposure.

What a great look int he eye Jerry. He looks like he means business. Nice touch of purple in the head and very nice warm colors in the water.

Beautiful water, as always, and beautiful colors in the duck.  I think he's taking a drink, right?
