We've been in Florida a week or so now, and this past weekend the wind was very strong. It provided an opportunity for kite boarders and wind surfers to get out and strut their stuff. The kite boarders were moving very quickly, and would get about 25 feet or so off of the water. I had a lot of fun photographing the action and met a nice group of people.

Thoughts, comments, and critiques are appreciated.

EOS 7D2, 70-200 2.8 @ f 8. 1/1600 sec, ISO 400.

I know nothing about surfing, Jerry, but it seems to me you've caught a neat pose here. The detail that shows up in the large version is excellent. I feel this might also work well if cropped down from the top, but I guess you wanted here to set the context as fully as possible.

Great action image! I like the bright colors of the surfer, specially with the less colorful water and sky. A good ad photo for the surf board! TFS.

Jerry: this is a good action shot and in particular I like the intense look on the surfers face. This shot might have worked equally well shot in landscape orientation since the sky is featureless.
