Tree in a Field

This is a picture I made last fall just a few miles from my home. I was out looking for something that I could make a picture of and I just enjoyed the looks of this scene. A tree in a plowed field but in these conditions it did appeal to me. Just off to the right of this field Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin home sits on the hill top.

The tree stands out well here, Nick, with the hint of fog adding some fine atmospherics to the gentle light.

Interesting image.  Not sure why, but it does appeal to me.  Maybe because I have seen similar scenes back in Kansas years ago.  Well taken.  Thanks for sharing.

Lovely image, Nick !  The mist softens the strong light nicely, and you really sense the ploughed up earth beneath the tree. The warm brown tones are very appealing.

Nick: I like the tones which are softened by the ground fog. The tree is well placed and stands out very well against the sky.

Nick, I really like the atmosphere, especially the pastel colors. The crisp details make it tangible for me. Great that you realized the potential of this scene.
