You either have a tamer than usual mouse, or you were in the right place at the right time.  I really like the habitat shot. it's a keeper for sure.   The only suggestion I have would be to crop this to get closer in on the mouse and get him off center.

Adorable, and wonderful detail in the mouse.  This may be the way it really looked, but is there a slight green tint to the mouse and the log?

Lovely view of a critter that probably gets very little attention.  I agree with the others that the repost is an improvement, though it almost looks to have a bit of blue tint to it on my monitor.  Maybe warming it or increasing the yellow might help, but perhaps I'm the only one seeing that.

Hi John,

Nice to see some "less glamourous" species being posted.

I prefer the re-post, but for my taste I would have also cropped a little off the bottom and not so much off the right side. This would get it out of the centre and give it a little room "to breathe" (or look into) on the right. Overall tho', I may be biased a bit because I often tend to prefer 3x2 aspect ratios in images over more squarish crops.

Note that compared to the original post I much prefer the colour on the repost, and I'm not really seeing the blue tint that Max mentioned.

Cheers...

Brad
