In December 2011, I ventured after Christmas to the Page area of Arizona and spent a couple of relaxing days on the mesa overlooking Lake Powell.  The wind had been out of the northeast for a few days to blow away the smudgy air produced by the coal-fired power plant near Page.  This is a pano stitch in PS of 6 vertical images taken with my Nikon D90 and lens at 21mm.

Doug, this is a wonderful look from this overlook at Lake Powell. Although a manmade lake it sure provides us a view of a natural appearing water-world. Although I've not been here in years I'm hoping some of the western states recent rain and snowfall events have brought the desperate low lake level back to a respectable height.
This type of scene is an automatic thought for the creation of a panoramic. And you've accommodated that idea in dramatic fashion overall with this 6 image stitch. Very nice indeed. laugh

Thank you so much for your caring comment about my ailing friend and my relative. They're both facing some difficult days ahead.....cheeky

This is stunning Doug. What amazing color and textures. Your eye just roams around taking it all in. Colors are much better in the larger image.

Doug, I'm loving the "islands in the water" spread throughout the frame here.  It sure invites me to go exploring all of those waterways.  The colors in the clouds are a good addition as well.

Oh yeah, a panorama is a great way to look at this interesting land/water/sky-scape.  (Glad you got a break from the smog;  hopefully we all be able to be free of that one of these years.)  I think the most immediately-attractive things about this image is the colors -- both the combination of blue and reddish, and how the hue of the clouds matches the rocks.

Beautiful pano, Doug!  An expansive scene with some incredible lighting and a dynamic sky.  I don't see anything I would want to change on this one!
