With predators looming around, this is the only place amidst the branches where this poor one can take refuge for a while.

Hi,

The subject is very soft and could use a little sharpening before posting.  The placement of the bird is fine.  If the bird was situated lower and you were also closer, the image would be stronger--especially if the eye of the bird is a more dominant feature of the comp. Work on your post-processing and provide info on the methods used prior to posting the image which will be most helpful to reviewers............................Jim

Hi Nishand,

You won't be able to do much post processing if you are shooting jpeg files.  You need to shoot in RAW mode or the details can never be brought out.  The angle here is fairly steep, and the bird is buried in the habitat a bit too much.   Looks like your setting are getting to be more reasonable, but the jpeg files are probably what is causing a lot of what looks like fuzzy, out of focus shots.  This camera is capable of much better.  You will also need to learn basic Photoshop techniques to work on those RAW files.

Pretty good detail in the face, where it matters, Nishand, and good exposure.  The angle is rather steep, but I do like the pose with the bird looking into the sky so expectantly.  For such a busy background and foreground, this works surprisingly well.
