Gerald,
I like the composition and the background. I'm not familiar with that flower, but the reds look oversaturated to me, seems to lose detail in the petals.

Not sure why at f16 this isn't sharper, but you had a pretty slow shutter speed so maybe it's motion blur. Use a tripod and a remote, and turn up your iso. The reds are also either blown or oversaturated. It's important to get the reds exposed properly in camera. Pretty much impossible to fix them afterwards.

A nice arrangemnt and composition, Gerald. I'm not sure if it's the focus or the saturation, but there doesn't seem to be any detail in the petals-they just come out a flat red.

I posted an image of one of these several years ago. In fairness, I don't recall a lot of detail in the petals. I still would have to agree with the others; the red is over-saturated. I don't think this is all motion blur, but Charlie's advice is valid, especially bumping the ISO up to around 400. If you have set your color to Vivid in the camera, you might drop it back to Standard. And please—you really need to start commenting on other's images!

Gerald, was this hand held or tripod? Nice composition, but have to agree about lack of detail in the petals. I know from my experience it is sometimes hard to get detail on the petals. Thanks for sharing.
