This is a great portrait of a pronghorn.  The detail here is excellent.  I really like how you can see the texture of his hair, and how it is really true to what that hair feels like.  Very cool.  Nice BG, too.
They are incredible animals.  My one nit would be that it is a tiny bit tight on the right side.
Nice!

My favorite North American plains mammal!  Well taken image.  I like the composition of this photo, but would like to see it just a tad darker.  Thanks for sharing.

Excellent portrait.  Nice detail and eye contact.  The complimentary background really helps this already strong image.

I really like the shot, but how did you get so close to this notiorusly skittish animal, even in Yellowstone?

Skip, thanks for the comments. As for your question, I usually go to Yellowstone during the rut, which helps, as the bucks are a bit distracted. I also am patient and allow the pronghorn to get used to me. This buck was very calm and even approached me at times. Once they know you are not a threat, they pretty much ignore you. That has been my experience.

Jerry,

Thanks for the nice explanation on how one openly approaches an animal.  I fully agree patience is key in many or most of these kinds of encounters!

Excellent portrait!
