Messy Eagle

This is the same Eagle as my last post and this is what it was strolling over to. A Ring-billed Gull dropped the fish and it was flopping on the ice. The Eagle was about 20 feet away. I was ready for it to pick it up and fly away but he/she ate it right there. Approx. 90% FF, I stopped down to f/9 to try to maintain detail. I liked the reflection of the beak and feet.

Thanks for looking, comments & suggestions are always appreciated!

Nice feeding pose with the talons on the fish.  The underside look of the bill in the reflection is interesting, though perhaps a bit distracting.

This is another great shot of the eagle Steve. Just have to say I liked the first one a lot better....

Nice image.  Good behavior and the ice does a nice job of reflecting light evenly.

Hi Steve. Your two shots are splendid – they show independent aspects of the eagle’s comportment. Stunning sharpness and detail! Well done.
