Just a split second before it grabs a meal. You can actually see the fish in the water just in front of this Eagle.

Steve:
Nice pose and timing. When I click on the icon to see a larger version, I get one that is the same size, but significantly different in color. I think you've been caught by the issue that posting only the "larger" version and letting the NPN software create the "smaller" version doesn't honor the color spaces. If you indeed posted both versions, the color space in the two files is different.
I posted an article in the forums on this topic with a detailed tutorial on posting images for NPN, and in general for web use to insure color consistency.

Kudos from someone who knows first hand how difficult capturing a great shot like this can be. Well done.

This looks great, Steve. You caught the action just right, and in very nice lighting.

Impressive lighting and wonderful wing position here. Good timing on the catch. I think I'm more impressed by the fact that you got such detail at 1/250 of a second. The brakes must've been on. Sure would like to see a larger image.

Awesome classic pose and low pov on this Steve. I love the water color and light. Sorry, but I don't see the fish? Great capture!

Beautiful light and a great pose, Steve. I do wish your larger image were actually larger as the fish would probably show better.
