This building has been abandoned for many years. This is the same building as my recent 'No Step' image. I liked this one in B&W.

Nikon D-7100
Nikkor 18-140mm @ 50mm
ISO 100, 1/20 @ f-16
Conversion using B&W Adjustment Layer and TK's Masks.

Please see the large version. The tonal separation is better. Thanks!

Your thoughts are always appreciated. cool

Great intersecting lines and shapes and tones. Two thoughts, I might clone out the rock on the bottom edge and I might work the mid-tones in the flower bed to pull out a bit more contrast. Real nice image!

This came out great Preston.  I really like the angles and graphic nature of the fence leading to the old building.  This came out much better than my version!

I do agree with Harley on his suggestions.  I think you've got enough room to almost complete crop out the rock, maybe with some cloning help.  But also agree on the contrast.  I think you could reduce the exposure and increase the contrast in the daffodils and their supporting greens.  Otherwise, this is beautifully crafted, well seen.

Don't know about you, but I've got more to come from Columbia.... ;-)

Preston, the new fence really offsets the old wood siding here nicely. The daffodils are a really nice added touch screaming new life and spring is here. The lines of the fence lead you right into the frame. Really nice work on this, and the B&W really works.

Preston, this is a great b&w image. I love the texture in the wood, and the angles of the fence line. Processing looks good to me. I agree with the bottom cropping suggestions, but would add to that either a crop off the left, or more space there if you have it. The little sliver of white picket on the edge feels too thin to me.

Yep, repost is much better.  I was thinking though... yellow daffodils... in b&w are going to be difficult no matter what since they're going to be white. ;-)

Big improvement in the flower greens and much better without the rocks.  Looks great PB!
