Coyote crossing the Lamar river in Yellowstone with his beaver carcass. Even though I was quite a bit away from him and his mate, he didn't want to share his prize with me and crossed the river to prevent me from reaching him. I thought that was rather thoughtful on his part because he actually didn't put more distance between us. He settled just across the river which wasn't farther from he was initially. He was right that I would not cross the freezing river myself. I felt he knew that.

Unusual and excellent, Hisham.  I think you did a fine job of handling a contrasty light situation.  I appreciate the flying drops of water, the excellent quality of the coyote's eye, the action pose with good body extension and the story telling nature of the image.  I suspect this is not the full frame, and if correct, I would suggest replacing a bit more space, noting how the tip of the tail extends so far as to be clipped by the right side edge.

Thanks Lon. This is actually the full frame so I have to live with the barely clipped tail.

Cheers,

Hisham.

This is really chilling in more ways than one Hisham. Nature in it's truest form. Great story. Nice work in difficult light.

Hisham, I would say the composition here is far from perfect, but it's a really interesting photo!  Cool behavior, of course, bold colors and some interesting patterns (I like the white-blue-white) and texture.

I'm very impressed that you got such a sharp image hand-holding the 600mm with a 1.4.  How many hours a day do you spend in the gym?  The saturation of the blue and red add to this image.  The whole thing really tells a story.

This one really needs to be viewed larger to be fully appreciated! Unreal photo. I do wish there was more room on the right for the tip of his tail.
