At Avenches each spring, a couple dozen pairs of migrant Storks arrive from Africa.  As far as I know, each couple returns its own nest and is intent on raising one or two fledglings. It is a busy time and the sturdy nests may need repair and renovation. I positioned myself strategically and took this shot moments before the Stork returned home. I dare say its spouse was duly impressed!

I like the straight overhead shot of this behavior, David.  It seems all birds get a little carried away with the size of their nesting material.  I've seen cavity dwellers like swallows and Bluebirds try to get stuff in that clearly is not going to fit.
