This Annas Hummingbird has a favorite perch right next to the front door at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Of course the feeder is just a few feet away and this is a great spot to defend territory. This was 95% of full frame. Handheld Canon 60D, f8, 1/2500 sec, iso 400, -1 EV, 100-400 ISL with 1.4 TC - 420 mm, Manual Focus since AF does not work with my 60D and TC combo. Fortunately he gave me a few tries at this. Still tough to get the right focus in the right plane.

Very cool, Ed.  A perfect choice for the focal plane and dof with both the bell and the bird nicely in focus.  Well done.

I like the brass fixture and the brassy notes in the Annas' plumage.
