Flight Shot

Here's the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher moving down the wire a few feet.  The light wasn't as good on the underside of the wing, but other than that, I liked it.  Once again a pretty large crop, since the fences are probably at least 30 feet from the road and, of course, the way the driver's side is set up you also have the extra lane in there.

7D2, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, hand held from truck, f/8, 1/2000, iso 640, manual exposure.  Processed in LR & PS CC.  Cropped to 7.5 MP before resizing.  I added a little light to the shadows in post processing.  Taken yesterday at 9:02 AM.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

What an unusual subject, in sharp focus, great background and exposure.  No nits here.  Just thanks for posting this.

Nice color and BG Dennis. Love that peachy underwing color. Nice sharp detail for a large crop too.

Very nice flight shot Dennis.  The tail is perfect for this species.  Nice.

Simply beautiful! I like it even better than the one taking off from the wire. Hoping to see more!

This is excellent Dennis.  I like the way you cropped the image.  Terrific detail, wing position, tail position, background, and color.

Terrific flight pose under excellent light. Love both the wing and tail spread, and the IQ held up well with the crop. Nice work Dennis.
