Slurp!

Been going through my external hard drives trying to clean up my files. I save WAY too many files. not sure how many of you have this issue. I am always thinking...well, but what if an editor wants this..or that... Anyhow, from doing this, I am finding images I meant to process or forgot I had. This is one of this from a trip to Santa Clara back in 2014. Nothing special, just a Mexican Ground Squirrel which are very common in these parts, but I like how they drink from the ponds.

Your low side view POV is amazing here Kurt. Makes for a great perspective on the ground squirrel. Your timing to get the splash is even better. Detail is great and the BG is too.

This one is really awesome! I like it a lot. It's different than the usual ground squirrel images you see. The water drop is amazing.

Hey Kurt,

Yep, I decided the same thing about my own files (keeping too many) and have become much more vicious in throwing away shots!

Good title, and that streaming drop is just great! Good choice on stopping down here...that BG is still pleasingly blurred yet all parts of the ground squirrel that are visible look very sharp.

Cheers...and thanks for sharing this one.

The hanging drop makes this image, Kurt.  The details in the groundie look good and it's positioned well against that lovely two toned background.
