This Brown Garden Snail was on a barrel cactus. I kept wondering if they get stuck with the spines like other creatures do. Canon 5D3, f11, 1/200 sec, iso 800, 100-400 ISL at 400 mm, 85% of full frame.

All I can think of at first is OUCH! A neat shot, Ed, with great details both in the spines and the snail. The spines make a fine, semi-abstract pattern even as they showcase the snail and it's amazing ability to crawl around comfortably.

Ed ..this is a new scene for me. Never seen a snail on a sharp object, except in a proverb. Nice detail too...
