Snow Berries

Something a bit different for the flora gallery. Spring has finally sprung here, but I thought I'd post this one from this winter before I posted any spring images. Taken while out hiking during a snow in early March. I am not certain what kind of a tree it is, but I believe it is some type of flowering crab. It was planted last year in the local Metroparks, about a mile from my house, during a renovation at a recreation site. I looked at it again today while hiking, but it is not yet blooming and has only begun to leaf out, so I still can't ID it. Anyway, I liked the red berries in the snow. Single image taken w/ Nikon D600 and 80-400 zoom @ 350, hh at 1/320, f5.6, and iso 400. Suggestions and other comments welcome.

Edit: spring has revealed this tree to be a flowering hawthorn.
