Alternative composition of this image at 85% of full frame.
I'd be interested in your opinions between the two - Thanks

Wonderful capture. The detail and setting is wonderful. I like the first composition better. To me the brush on the left on the second image is distracting.

Mike, a fine look at this guy showing off.  The deep blue sky makes a great background.  I too prefer the original post.

What a great image! The detail is marvelous. Your exposure looks spot on! I like both compositions, but I think the original slightly edges the repost for me...perhaps something in between the two would look good?

A very handsome bird Mike, with super detail. I prefer the original also for the more intimate view of the Anhinga.

Nice one, Mike.  Congratulations on getting that close to this guy.  I do prefer the first post, but to me it looks as if the tail were clipped in it.  You might try looking at a vertical 4x5 or 6x7 and see if you like it.

Excellent detail and it's nice to see the eye that clearly.  Well done.

Great look at this handsome fellow, especially the crest.
I like the first version better, and, actually, would crop even tighter and get rid of some of the greenery on the bottom.
Excellent shot!

Very nice look at this Anhinga.  I consider this to be fairly exotic compared to what we see here in the Pacific Northwest.  You did a really nice job on color and detail.  I can see this is difficult to expose, especially in the dark areas.
