Power of the Spirit
by Sairam Sundaresan
My first visit to Spirit falls was quite eventful. On reaching the "trailhead" I saw that it was littered with "No trespassing" signs and "24/7 Surveillance Cameras". Crestfallen, I returned to my hotel. On further research, I found out that exists a "legal" trail to the falls, so I returned with a hope of capturing this beautiful waterfalls. The trail was really really steep and I soon realized how "interesting" the hike back to the car would be. But it was all worth it once I saw the waterfall. The water levels were so high! Mist was flying onto my face and the aquamarine water raged across making the river look menacing. I got the usual images and then tried to find a different vantage for showing the force of the water and this is what I came up with.
Appreciate any thoughts you have on this one.

What makes this image is the angle where the falling water meets the surface of the river. Colors are awesome and I also like the river flowing into the top RH corner
